The lower Mountain Fork River is a U.S. Corps of Engineers regulated stream. It is fed by lower levels of Broken Bow Lake, so the water is generally crystal clear and cold. The flow of the river is good even in the middle of summer to enhance the habitat for Rainbow and German Brown Trout which are stocked on a regular basis. Tree Frog Kayak & Canoe Rentals

Tree Frog Kayak & Canoe Rentals

Tree Frog is a family owned and operated river float rental on Mountain Fork River. We are in our 5th year and cannot appreciate our community enough for keeping us busy. Check out this customer review: “We simply cannot say enough good things about Tree Frog Kayak and Canoe Rental, the people running this business are absolutely the sweetest folks! It can be confusing and hectic when dealing with a large group of kids but Tree Frog handled everything so smoothly, efficiently and with a smile. We were all checked in, life vests on and floating down the river before we knew it. At the other end of the river they had us all picked up and back to the main office with no waiting at all. But the very best part was the tacos!!! They treated our entire group to the most amazing homemade tacos when we got back! A perfect end to a perfect day on the river. Thanks to all the good folks at Tree Frog for helping to make this such a fun memorable day for all of us. We plan to make this an annual trip and Tree Frog will always be our outfitters!”

WW Trading Post and Canoe

WW Trading Post and Canoe

WW Trading Post and Canoe offers canoe and kayak rentals and sales, private boat shuttles, and a camp store. Hello. My name is Paden Minor, and I am the owner/operator of WW Trading Post and Canoe. This is a little of our history. We were established by my uncle, Neil Wood, in 1988 and began offering canoe trips down the Lower Mountain Fork River in the beautiful McCurtain County area of Southeast Oklahoma. Neil based his company on a family friendly environment to allow for families, school groups, church groups, along with Boy and Girl Scouts alike, a great and adventurous time out on our scenic waterways. I, myself, started working for Neil when I was 16 here at the rental and worked for him every summer throughout my high school and college days. I continued to work for Neil each summer when I was in off from other jobs I was working. I bought the business from him in 2013, when he decided he was ready to retire. I still strive to live up to his high standards of customer service and provide a family friendly and safe environment for the patrons of our establishment, which we believe shows in the amount of repeat and new customers that come to us via the word of mouth spread by our customers themselves. We look forward to working with you in the future. God bless and paddle onward.
